Buenos Aires, 2 diciembre (NA) — El secretario de Guerra de Estados Unidos, Pete Hegseth, afirm\u00f3 este martes que las operaciones de su pa\u00eds en el mar Caribe \u00abson legales\u00bb, en medio de la disputa con el gobierno de Venezuela, y su presidente, Nicol\u00e1s Maduro.<\/p>\n

\u00abNuestras operaciones actuales en el Caribe son legales tanto de acuerdo con las leyes de Estados Unidos como con las leyes internacionales, y son acciones que se ajustan a las leyes del conflicto armado\u00bb, remarc\u00f3 el funcionario de Donald Trump.<\/p>\n

Durante una reuni\u00f3n del gabinete realizada en la Casa Blanca, Hegseth dijo que las drogas que llegan a Estados Unidos por mar han registrado un descenso de 91 por ciento, aunque no indic\u00f3 cu\u00e1l es la fuente de la informaci\u00f3n ni a qu\u00e9 corresponde el nueve por ciento restante.<\/p>\n

\u00abApenas estamos empezando a atacar las narcoembarcaciones y a poner a los narcooterroristas en el fondo del oc\u00e9ano porque han estado envenenando al pueblo estadounidense\u00bb, dijo Hegseth, seg\u00fan supo la agencia Noticias Argentinas a trav\u00e9s de Xinhua.<\/p>\n

Asimismo, Hegseth dijo en X que \u00ablas noticias falsas est\u00e1n emitiendo m\u00e1s reportes inventados, incendiarios y derogatorios para desacreditar a nuestros incre\u00edbles guerreros que luchan por proteger a la patria\u00bb.<\/p>\n

Desde principios de septiembre, el Pent\u00e1gono ha llevado a cabo m\u00e1s de 20 ataques conocidos en el Caribe y el este del oc\u00e9ano Pac\u00edfico contra embarcaciones que presuntamente transportan drogas y ha matado a m\u00e1s de 80 personas a bordo de ellas.<\/p>\n
