Buenos Aires, 20 noviembre (NA) \u2013 La leyenda suiza Roger Federer record\u00f3 la derrota ante el argentino Juan Mart\u00edn Del Potro en la final del US Open 2009 y reconoci\u00f3 que \u201cese partido lo deber\u00eda haber ganado\u201d.<\/p>\n

Seg\u00fan pudo saber la Agencia Noticias Argentinas, luego de que se confirmara su ingreso al Sal\u00f3n de la Fama del Tenis, el suizo y ex n\u00famero 1 del mundo dio una entrevista con el medio Tages Anzeiger y record\u00f3 aquel encuentro ante el tandilense como uno de los que m\u00e1s le doli\u00f3 perder.<\/p>\n

Sobre dicha final, Federer record\u00f3: \u201cEse partido lo deber\u00eda haber ganado. En ese momento tuve un dolor en la espalda durante el calentamiento y luego desperdici\u00e9 muchas oportunidades. Ese fue uno de los partidos que no deber\u00eda haber perdido\u201d.<\/p>\n

Federer llegaba a la final del US Open 2009 como el gran candidato, ya que hab\u00eda ganado 15 t\u00edtulos de Grand Slam en su carrera, era el n\u00famero 1 del mundo y le hab\u00eda ganado a Del Potro en los seis enfrentamientos previos entre ambos.<\/p>\n

Sin embargo, Del Potro dio la gran sorpresa para ganarle por 3-6, 7-6(5), 4-6, 7-6(4) y 6-2 y as\u00ed obtener su \u00fanico t\u00edtulo de Grand Slam.<\/p>\n

Adem\u00e1s, aquella victoria sirvi\u00f3 para terminar con la impresionante racha de Federer en el US Open, torneo en el que hab\u00eda ganado las \u00faltimas cinco ediciones entre 2004 y 2008.<\/p>\n

Luego de aquella final, Federer nunca pudo volver a ganar el US Open, pese a alcanzar el partido decisivo nuevamente en el 2015 y las semifinales en 2010, 2011 y 2014.<\/p>\n
